What if the key to success isn’t chasing viral moments but uncovering your unique voice in the crowded content landscape? In this episode, we sit down with dynamic creators Luis and Fonzi (the BizBros) who have redefined the rules of engagement by blending bold experimentation with authentic storytelling. With humor, insight, and a touch of controversy, this conversation challenges the conventional wisdom of content creation and explores how staying true to your values can transform not just your business but your entire approach to connecting with your audience.

Welcome to the show! I am so excited to have you both here today. Let’s start by having you introduce yourselves for everyone who might not know you.
Bizbro 1
Thank you so much for having us, Ina. We’re the BizBros, co-hosts of the podcast *Content is Profit*. Our mission is to help businesses create consistent and effective content that drives results. We’ve worked with everyone from big-name speakers and authors to small entrepreneurs, and it’s been an incredible journey.
Bizbro 2
Yeah, we’re all about removing the friction from content creation. We started this whole thing because we struggled ourselves to put content out there consistently. Now, we’re passionate about helping others overcome those same challenges.

Ina Coveney
That’s awesome. You guys have such a unique energy. I want to dive right in—what are some of the biggest mistakes you see people making with their content?
Bizbro 1
Oh, where do we start? I think one of the biggest mistakes is not knowing what the goal of their content is. People will create content just for the sake of creating, without a clear purpose. For us, for example, the goal of our podcast is to develop high-quality relationships. It’s not about reaching the masses; it’s about connecting with people we want to hang out with, learn from, and maybe work with.
Bizbro 2
Exactly. And then there’s the mistake of trying to model after big influencers like Gary Vee or Russell Brunson without understanding their unique situation. We wasted years trying to copy those guys, and it just didn’t work for us. Once we focused on creating a process that worked for us, everything changed.
---
Ina Coveney
That’s such a great point. You have to find your own way. What does that process look like for you now?
Bizbro 1
It’s all about consistency and quality of the message over quality of the production. When we started, we were doing Facebook Lives with no editing. It wasn’t fancy, but it got us into the habit of creating. Now we’re in a studio with a multicam setup, but the essence is still the same: show up and share your message.
Bizbro 2
And we focus on testing. Content is like a constant hypothesis—you try something, see what works, and adjust. We stick to an 80/20 rule: 80% is our core content, like podcast episodes, and 20% is experimental. That might mean testing trends, trying ads, or doing something completely different.
---
Ina Coveney
I love the emphasis on experimentation. Do you think people overthink content creation?
Bizbro 2
Absolutely. A lot of people think they need a massive team or high production value to get started, but that’s just not true. You can start with whatever you have—your phone, a simple setup, and your ideas. The important thing is to put your content out there and learn from the feedback.
Bizbro 1
Totally. Another mistake we see is outsourcing your thinking. Tools like ChatGPT are great, but they’re not a replacement for your own expertise and experience. Your audience wants to hear your voice and your unique perspective.
---
Ina Coveney
That’s such an important reminder. So, what’s your advice for someone who’s just starting out and feeling overwhelmed?
Bizbro 1
Start small and focus on removing the friction. If your camera setup is holding you back, use your phone. If you don’t have time, commit to just one minute a day. The key is to make it as easy as possible to get started.
Bizbro 2
And find a process that works for you. Are you a better writer than a speaker? Focus on writing. Do you love being on video? Lean into that. It’s all about finding your medium and building from there.
---
Ina Coveney
That’s amazing advice. Let’s shift gears a bit—what do you think is the biggest misconception people have about you?
Bizbro 2
I think people assume we’re more successful than we actually are. At events, we’ve had people congratulate us on things we haven’t achieved yet, like winning a Two Comma Club Award. It’s flattering, but it also shows how perception can differ from reality.
Bizbro 1
Yeah, and success is so subjective. For us, it’s about being better than we were last year and continuing to grow. We’re proud of what we’ve built, even if we haven’t hit certain milestones yet.
---
Ina Coveney
That’s such a healthy perspective. And honestly, you guys are doing incredible things. Before we wrap up, what’s one thing everyone listening should do in the next 24 hours?
Bizbro 2
For introspection, write. There’s a saying: “You don’t know what you think until you write it.” If something’s weighing on your mind, get it out on paper. For content, go live. Share who you are, what you do, and how people can work with you. It’s a powerful way to connect with your audience.
Bizbro 1
And remove the friction. Identify what’s holding you back and tackle it. Whether it’s equipment, time, or confidence, take small steps to overcome those barriers. You’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.
